Punk started in the 1970's as an irksome, guerilla take-over against common current of pop music. Rock ensambles like Green Day, the Offspring, and Rancid boosted punk back in the 90's . In blink-182's never-ending struggle to insult all grown ups in the locality, that tape featured a model clothed as an enema au pair girl on the cover. The music inside is adolescent and never-to-be-forgotten with the massive hit song “Don't Leave Me.”

2. The Donnas - Spend the Night

Girls play punk pop, as well, and this disc is a profuse proof of the fact. The group styled after the American rock band Ramones with every member going by the name Donna. Download Pressure to listen to it.

3. Good Charlotte - Young and the Hopeless

A band from Waldorf Good Charlotte blasted into the top ten of the popular music album chart with this set. It is full with history of high school and problem parents. The smashing #1 song is “Girls & Boys.”

4. Green Day - Jesus of Suburbia

After declining from their nineties fleeting surge of popularity, Green Day faded from live performances to mix punk's first rock opera. Though the American band was unsure about their fan's attitude to Dearly Beloved, it turned out to be an American punk rock classic topping the charts and gaining a Grammy award for Best Punk Album of two thousand and four.
